This is a Great, Rare, Early US Marine Corps men
's military uniform coat/jacket/tunic
. This wonderful Old piece has a Great, Vintage design, with USMC buttons & "1918-1919" paper tag, is made of cotton twill, from the Estate Archive of Richard H. Silvola,
an Original, Vintage piece, from the World War I era, and is Rare to Find.
Richard S. Silvola
: served in the US Marine Corps for 10 years, including service in World War I and the "China Marines" in Peking.
Later, he served 5 terms in the Minnesota State House of Representatives.
This is marked Size 1 Short, but actually measures approx. 18" from armpit to armpit and 26.5" from top to bottom.
This appears to be in Very Nice, Crisp condition.
