    Description

Up for your consideration is this Rare and Highly Collectible Vintage Handmade in Mexico Folding Knife aka Saca Tripas aka Tranchete. These are of Mexican descent and were used as a defense knife, utility knife, field knife or any other utilitarian use, by Mexican Ranchero's/farm workers.
The blade is made of high carbon steel. The lock-back Spring Latch is made of spring steel. The handle is made of bull/ bovine horn.
This is a vintage piece so typical wear is to be expected. Although it apears to be in solid working condition.
These knives possibly get their origins from the Spanish Navaja, as the lock back spring is used in that style as well.
This is a true Collectors Piece!!
