    Description

This is a very fine handmade Bowie Knife made by Vermont knifemaker, Raymond E. Haselton. He's a well-known regional maker of knives, tomahawks, axes and percussion rifles.  Ray made this knife about 23 years ago and used the famous Woodhead Sheffield  bowie as his inspiration.  Knife measures 14.5" long with the blade being 9.75".   The steel is 5/16" thick and the knife weighs 1.5 pounds.  Long clip point with false edge half way back.  Milled elliptical silver guard.  Handle is very gnarly texture sambar Stag slabs secured to the full tang by 4 spun silver pins.  Ray used the classic silver Half-Horse/ Half-Alligator pommel caps that Woodhead used.  Ray's maker mark is engraved across the flat.  A gorgeous knife.  No sheath.  Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back.
