This set is
a
faithful reproduction of the classic edged masterpieces of the American Antebellum Period, when
gentlemen would wear elegant sidearms with their formal attire.
In conformity with Antebellum traditions, the primary Bowie
is complemented by its backup partner—a smaller, matching
Mini-Fighter
knife that can be carried concealed in a boot, on a belt, or inner pocket.

Condition of Funderburg Bowie and Mini-Fighter Knife Set
This highly desirable pair of knives was acquired from an estate in the 1980’s and has been stored in temperature-controlled safekeeping until now. The set was acquired as an investment and has not been used for any purpose whatsoever.
Both knives are in pristine, MINT condition. The cutting edges on these knives have not been touched since they left Joe Funderburg’s hands.
The custom hard leather sheaths are in excellent vintage condition. There are a few small storage spots on the sheaths and a small, superficial sticker mark on the back of one of the metal belt clips on the larger sheath. See pictures.
About Joe Funderburg
Joe Funderburg, hallmarked jF, was from Los Osos CA and sold his first knife in 1965. He specialized in fixed blade knives and mirror polish blades. His superb creations were instantly scooped up by knowledgeable collectors and are seldom offered for resale.
