As indicated in the advertisement in the June 1987 Soldier of Fortune magazine (magazine pic & ad included below). The knives numbered 005-025 were 5 and included a presentation case and knives numbered 026-100 were a much better bargain at 5. Therefore, the stamped number on your SOG Bowie does play a role on how valuable it is."
