An interesting large Bowie knife with a nicely carved crown stag handle decorated with what looks like green jade stone and an extra-wide brass S-guard. The knife is about 15” / 38 cm overall; heavy-duty 2-1/4 inch wide blade is about 9-1/2" / 24 cm. The edge is very sharp still; the tip is intact. Varnished crown stag handle has a snake carved on the side and a profile of a Native American chief and a buffalo scull carved on the pommel. The handle is polished and covered in a thick layer of shellac. All parts are tight with no play. There is no sheath.
