    Description

Huge 17 inch long antique Fur Trade knife with a plain edge blade and a saw tooth top from the mid 19th century.....
The hand made hand forged carbon steel blade is a massive 12 inches long and 2 inches wide near the handle and is bendalbe like many trade knives were found to be.
The handle is an exotic wood with a pewter inlay decoration on both sides and over tang...
Many of these pewter inlay knives were traded to the Native Americans and were found in beaded and tacked Indian sheaths. Traded for furs and such and we have shown a few other similar trade knives in the fifth picture above but this is the only one we have for sale.
This knife was found in Minnesota....
Rare and one of a kind.....
