    Description

You are bidding on a large original antique print from an 1890s illustrated journal. The quality of the printing from that era was exceptional.
It depicts "Help" a border collie dog who road the London & Brighton Railway in the 1880s, collecting money for the Railway Orphan's Fund. The page includes a 4x3.5 picture of the dog and a 3-inch article. He is shown wearing a silver medal presented to him at the Bristol Dog Show in 1884. It is said he collected over 1000 pounds -- a hefty sum in those days.
The page is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 11 x 16 inches (28 x 40.5 cm). The picture fills only a portion (see scan).
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
