New in box. One cup has three tiny specks on the inside bottom from the manufacturer. Box shows wear; has some black marker and adhesive from a sticker on the bottom. Please see photos.

**It is a good idea to check the lead, cadmium etc. content, of all dishes, pottery, glassware, metalware, wood, etc. especially vintage ones! Many dishes even newer ones and pottery have unacceptable lead content and and are not safe especially for children and pregnant women! Painted dishes are more prone to have lead. It would be better to use this for collector purposes.
